I was just talking to Nick yesterday on a couple being stable and recognised by their own group of friends.
When a couple being stable and recognised by their own group of friends, I think, is when they(the couple) and the friends of each sees them as an entity.
For example, addressing themselves as We and no longer I and XX.
"Hey, lets do dinner. Tonight we will be in town. See you."
VERSUS
"Hey lets do dinner. XX and I will be in town. See you."
And this entity stretches to invitations to weddings or presents given.
And this entity also involves plans for the future.
Our future / our room / our place / our home / our plans.
Everything from I and XX to We.
As that being in a stable and recognsed relationship is longer and I, but a case of comprising and accomodation that forms WE.

Hello babe, chanced upon ur blog from THB.. yeah agreed and well-said.. but it gets equally upset or worse when u are no longer tog and ppl are like: "hey where is XX?" or "hey how come you are alone today, where is XX?" or "Rem this one bought by XX previously..hey how come XX is not here today..?" Being seen as an entity is either a blissful or hurtful one depending which stage you are in... but anyway enjoy love while it's there =)
